The summer program at Atlanta Montessori International School is 8 weeks of fun and learning for students who have a wide range of interests. Browse our schedule of programs here and reserve your spot today.

We offer full day camps for children from 3 years old to 13 years old in arts, humanities, sciences, and more! Camps are from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM, with before and after care options provided from 7:30 AM through 6:00 PM.

Primary Themes

Peaceful Education

Montessori-trained guide will lead this transition camp for children moving from toddler to primary.

Spanish Immersion

Students will reinforce Spanish through games, songs, dance, and exploration of 4 Spanish speaking countries.

Exploration of Family

Campers will learn about all kinds of families, discussing their family tree and celebrating the story of their unique family.

Under the Ground

Focus will be how on things in the ground live closely together, and how that translates into grace and courtesy in our camp.

Underwater Poetry

Campers will discover the mystery and splendor of the ocean, focusing on the harmony found among ocean creatures, as well as in our camp.

Nature and the Outdoors

Focus will be on the peacefulness of nature as campers visit the garden, closely examine seeds and flowers, and harvest fruits and vegetable for snacks.

Ferdinand the Bull

Campers will read The Story of Ferdinand, by Munro Leaf, about the most peaceful bull ever to face a matador.

Where the Wild Things Are/Travel

Campers will read Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak, travelling into the world of their imagination.

Elementary Themes

Spanish Immersion

Students will reinforce Spanish through games, songs, dance, and exploration of 4 Spanish speaking countries.

Music Camp

Inspired by different musical themes from around the world, students will sing and play to the rhythm of exotic melodies.

Gymnastics Camp

This exciting camp will teach floor gymnastics skills like turns and leaps, jumps, cartwheels, round-offs, handstands with forward rolls, and balancing.

International Cooking Camp

Children learn basic cooking techniques such as knife skills, braising, sautéing, poaching, baking, and preparing fresh pasta.

Hiking Camp

Campers will explore area parks for day hikes. Reflections and sketching will be encouraged. This camp will be predominantly an outdoor camp.

Fairies and Power Tools

This camp will explore the mythology of fairies while celebrating girl power as we cut, sand, and drill fairy doors for trees in our gardens.

Mindfulness Camp

This camp will offer a variety of mindfulness and breathing tools that will strengthen skills such as attention, focus, memory, thought organization, kindness, social problem solving, and self-regulation.

Mad Hatter Camp

This camp will use art, computers, and literature to explore Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. Camp will end with a tea party to be enjoyed with parents.

Drama Camp

Drama is a wonderful tool to unlock your child’s imagination. The skills students develop will be useful to them in any situation.

Computer Literacy

In this camp, children will learn how to use Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Writing and Photography Camp

Campers learn about grammar and creative writing, and will create a cut-and-paste magazine filled with student photography and features on local people.

Messtastic Camp

Messtastic camp is just what it sounds like, a messy camp! For this week, children will enjoy a variety of messy games, art projects, and activities.

Art Camp

Each camper will have the opportunity to strengthen their storytelling skills using art and imagery through projects such as time traveling capes, time capsule sculptures, and macramé.

Primary STEM Camp

I Want to Be… An Engineer

By exploring many engineering disciplines, little hands work to create innovative projects that engage and amaze!

I Want to Be… A Physicist

Using the scientific method, little brains ponder a variety of physics-related topics and learn what it means to make hypotheses, perform experiments, record data, and examine results.

I Want to Be… An Astronaut

From exploring the design of the International Space Station to simulating the handling and examining of moon rocks, our budding astronauts will learn about rockets, planets, and our solar system.

Elementary STEM Camp

Rocket Science: Destination Mars!

This exciting camp is all about rockets and how they are fueling our knowledge of other worlds. Campers learn what it takes to be a real rocket scientist!

Potent Potions and Fizzing Formulas

Junior scientists explore the magic of chemistry in this exciting camp that is full of actions and reactions! We’ll reveal the science as polymers, rate of reaction, oxidation and chromatography.

21st Century Robotics – Better, Stronger, Faster

Students will study the fundamentals of engineering and technology necessary to create amazing robots, and then construct simplified models of their own to reinforce the principles learned.
