     AMIS Druid Hills will be participating in the annual International Dinner at the Cliff Valley campus. Each class will represent a different country. Parents and students will work together to showcase the cuisine, music, dance, and culture of their chosen country. This year, we will be presenting Haiti! With such rich history, learning about this country is bound to be lots of fun. Makia, Naji and I will be spearheading the effort. We’ve come up with a few awesome crafts, some great decorations, and some meaningful connections to local Haitian community members. I hope you’ll join us as we work to make Druid Hills’ first participation in the International Dinner a success. Here are some things we’ll need. We would love it if you would look around your homes and bring in any of the items below:

-Paper Towel Rolls

-Large Cardboard Boxes

-Colorful Paper (patterns are great!)

We would also dearly appreciate a $15 contribution from any Druid Hills family that is able to make one. We would love to be able to pay for some craft supplies, purchase some delicious authentic Haitian food, and maybe even hire some Haitian drummers!

January is coming quickly, so if you’re able to make any donations or if you’d like to volunteer and meet some of your fellow Druid Hills parents, we would love to have you.
