I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I am bilingual Spanish/English; Spanish being my native language. I hold an Association Montessori International (AMI) diploma in the Primary Level education from the Montessori Institute of San Diego.
My journey with Montessori began in 2005 when I became a mother. Having my first child inspired me to search for a great school and educational path for my son. I found a small school in the mountains of Puerto Rico where I enrolled my child in a Primary class. Over the school year, I volunteered and worked as a teacher’s assistant where I fell in love with this wonderful method of working with children. In 2010, I embraced the path and began the work to obtain my AMI diploma. My journey as a Montessori Guide has led me to many experiences; working as a Primary Teacher Assistant in Puerto Rico, then being a Toddler and Primary Lead Teacher in North Carolina and now in Georgia! Receiving positive feedback from the families I have worked with over the years is a great source of motivation to continue my passion and commitment to serve as a Lead Primary Guide. One important aspect I bring to a school and my classroom community is a loving and peaceful environment.
I am married to a wonderful Puerto Rican, and we have three boys – 13 and 9 years old, and a 9 month old. As a family, we love to play board games, paint, craft and read books. We are very excited to settle into the Atlanta area, and so far love it here!
