What Makes Montessori Different at Atlanta Montessori International School Druid Hills

Your child deserves an education that honors who they truly are right now. At our Druid Hills campus, we create a warm, welcoming space where children from 6 weeks to 6 years old discover their passions through hands-on learning. Our guides observe each child closely, supporting their natural curiosity while building independence, confidence, and a genuine love for learning. This isn't daycare with academics tacked on. This is a carefully prepared environment where your child's development happens at their own pace, surrounded by beauty, order, and respect.

Our Druid Hills campus serves families throughout Atlanta, including Virginia Highland, Emory Village, Little Five Points, Edgewood, and Kirkwood. The historic building sits on over an acre of pristine ground, offering both indoor beauty and outdoor space for children to explore nature.

What Sets Our Druid Hills Montessori Experience Apart

  • Montessori-trained guides who bring genuine warmth, expertise, and respect to every interaction with your child.
  • Child-centered learning that honors your child's unique pace, allowing them to master concepts when they're developmentally ready.
  • Beautiful, prepared classrooms filled with natural sunlight, modern decor, and age-appropriate Montessori materials that invite exploration.
  • Low student-to-teacher ratios that ensure your child receives individualized attention and meaningful connections throughout their day.
  • A safe, secure campus with state-of-the-art security cameras and keycard entry protecting all 9,000 square feet of our historic building.
  • Rich outdoor learning spaces including age-specific playgrounds and a garden where children appreciate and care for nature.
  • Whole child development that nurtures emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth, preparing children for life beyond academics. According to the National Education Association, children who attend early education are less likely to repeat a grade, less likely to have special needs, and more likely to graduate high school.

Atlanta Montessori International School Druid Hills creates a space where your child will thrive, and where you can feel confident knowing they're cared for with intention, warmth, and deep respect for who they are.

Overall a really great experience!!! The admin and teachers are all great and we are exceedingly happy to be here. The one thing I would change is finding a way to streamline communication about upcoming events especially where parent participation is needed. Earlier notice and consistent method of sharing the info I think would help. Currently it seems like we get some info one place and different info elsewhere and then often something gets announced that's only a week or so out.

My preschooler absolutely loves going to his new school. His first day, drop off was terrible due to his prior experiences of other centers. When I picked him up from daycare that first day, he told me how much fun he had and about his “nice teachers”. He says his teachers aren’t angry, and his room isn’t dirty like his old school. Every day since, he walks right into the center and his classroom without any issues. I’m never walking into chaos at drop off or pick up, it’s very nice seeing the teachers having calm control over their classrooms. Beyond thankful to have my kids in a place where I know they’re being loved and cared for!
