Curriculum Focus
Our creative curriculum builds on Maria Montessori's philosophy, where infants and toddlers learn through sensory exploration, practical life activities, and purposeful play. We focus on language development, gross and fine motor skills, and building a solid educational foundation for life.
Daily Routine
Each day flows with a gentle rhythm that helps children ages 6 weeks to 36 months feel secure. Infants enjoy responsive care, peaceful environments, and age appropriate materials. Toddlers experience freedom of movement, practical life work, and time outdoors where they can explore nature.
Classroom Experience
Our prepared environments feel calm, beautiful, and ordered. Montessori trained guides create spaces where your child can move freely, choose meaningful activities, and build independence at their own pace. Natural light fills the rooms, and materials stay within reach at child height.
About Our Montessori Young Children's Community Program
You want your baby or toddler to feel safe, loved, and ready to learn. The first few years build the foundation for everything that comes after. Research shows that 90% of brain growth happens before kindergarten.
From 6 Weeks to 36 Months: Development Support for Every Stage
Infants and toddlers change so much in such a short time. One month your baby watches the world around them, and the next they're reaching, grasping, and exploring. Our program recognizes these developmental leaps and meets your child exactly where they are. Babies receive one on one attention in our infant program, where Montessori guides respond to their cues and rhythms. Toddlers gain confidence as they practice new skills, from walking and climbing to pouring water and arranging flowers.
A Nurturing Environment That Feels Like Home
Children ages 6 weeks to 36 months need more than just supervision. They need a community where they feel valued and understood. Our rooms become an extension of the homes to our students with activities that address their quest for independence within a safe and secure environment. Each classroom includes Montessori materials chosen for sensory exploration, movement, and language development. Your child absorbs every aspect of the environment, language, and culture as they grow.
Language and Communication
Infants and toddlers learn language by hearing it, seeing it, and experiencing it throughout their day. Guides speak clearly and naturally, naming objects, describing actions, and sharing stories. Toddlers hear songs, participate in finger plays, and begin using words to express their needs. This rich language exposure builds communication skills that support all future learning.
Movement and Practical Life
Little ones need to move their bodies to build strength, coordination, and confidence. Infants practice reaching, rolling, and eventually crawling in safe, open spaces. Toddlers climb, balance, push, and pull as they develop gross motor skills. Practical life activities like washing tables, arranging flowers, or preparing snacks help children build fine motor control while learning real life skills that bring them joy and purpose.
Social Foundation and Grace
Even the youngest children learn to be part of a community. Infants observe their environment and begin recognizing familiar faces. Toddlers practice sharing space, waiting their turn, and showing kindness to friends. Grace and courtesy lessons help children build empathy and social awareness from the very start.
Health and Safety Protocols
Your child's wellbeing comes first. We maintain strict health and safety protocols that protect every child in our care. Our security systems monitor the campus, and entry requires keycard access. Staff members follow all state licensing requirements, and our prepared environments meet the highest standards for cleanliness and safety.

Overall a really great experience!!! The admin and teachers are all great and we are exceedingly happy to be here. The one thing I would change is finding a way to streamline communication about upcoming events especially where parent participation is needed. Earlier notice and consistent method of sharing the info I think would help. Currently it seems like we get some info one place and different info elsewhere and then often something gets announced that's only a week or so out.

My daughter loved going to AMIS, Druid hills everyday. Their activities , guides, administration, classroom material everything is good. We also loved special events held at school where parents can also participate with kids, like evening movie in the lawn, Halloween day , breakfast with grandparents and special friends, etc.
